Acupuncture
The initial treatment will consist of a series of questions about the patient's body, mind, and spirit. A diagnosis is then made along with a plan for treatment. A Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment may include one or more of the following therapies:

Acupuncture - insertion of special sterilized needles through the skin into underlying tissues at specific points on the surface of the body.

Herbs - a prescription may be given in the form of tinctures, pills, herbal patches, or topical ointments.

Cupping - a technique to relieve symptoms in which cups made of glass, plastic, or bamboo are placed on the skin with a vacuum created by heat or other device.

Gua Sha - rubbing on an area of the body with a blunt, round instrument.

Moxa - indirect burning of an herb over an acupoint or needle using a stick or loose moxa to relieve symptoms.

Dietary advice - based on Traditional Chinese Medical theory to support the clinical diagnosis.

Continued treatment - Return visits entail following up with any changes in the patient's condition along with another treatment.
