Esther Garcia-Cuellar, M.S.,  L.Ac., L.M.P.

I am a graduate of Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. I achieved an M.S. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and am a diplomate of the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists. I studied in Shanghai, China, where I observed specialized therapies in the various medical departments of the Shanghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and took daily instruction on numerous medical subjects. My clinical work and education have focused on gynecology, musculoskeletal disorders, and various internal medicine conditions. I am also certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association to treat substance addiction.

I graduated from Brenneke School of Massage in 2000. I specialize in sports massage, and am trained in Swedish treatment techniques and Chinese Tui Na techniques, myofascial release, deep tissue, hydrotherapy, and trigger point therapies.

While at Bastyr, I pursued extracurricular subjects such as Craniosacral Therapy. This modality greatly advanced my skills as an acupuncturist along with providing another valuable tool to aid in healing.  While starting my private practice, in 2004 and 2005 I pursued further training through the Upledger Institute of CranioSacral Therapy and completed my certification.

In 2008, I completed an extensive training program on diagnosis, treatment, and management of fertility through the Jade Institute which included Western diagnosis and research as well as Naturopathic medicine perspectives.

Then in 2009 I completed full training and certification in KinesioTaping.  I have found it highly beneficial and a great adjunct therapy in combination with the other techniques and modalities I am trained in.
